      Louise Aycock Fowler Richard, age 81, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Northern Louisiana Medical Center. Visitation will be held at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Wednesday, July 20, 2011; from 5 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ruston, La., Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Rolly Walker and Rev. Jerry Hilbun. Interment will follow in the Pines Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

      She was born June 18, 1930 and was a longtime resident of Ruston, Louisiana, and recently Toledo Bend, Louisiana. She and her first husband owned and operated Ruston Hardware and Sporting Goods until his death in 1986. She was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. She and Crad won the Louisiana State Open Bass Tournament in 1968. She loved gardening, crocheting and sewing. Louise and her second husband enjoyed traveling and were members of numerous motor home clubs. They also loved entertaining friends and family at their second home on Toledo Bend. She was also well known for her patriotic support of the military and veterans. In previous years Louise was actively involved and supported Alpha Chi Omega Social Sorority, Ducks Unlimited and Girl Scouts. She thoroughly enjoyed all the time she spent with her close friends at Junior Guild.

      Louise was preceded in death by her first husband, James Crad Fowler, and her parents Tootsey and Cooksey Aycock. She is survived by her husband Robert J. Bert Richard, Sr. and the 3 Ds, Donna and husband Dee Belcher of Ruston, La., Dianne and husband Bill Andries of Many, La., and Dawn and husband Dickie Colvin of Benton, Tn. Grandchildren Jason Belcher and wife Kristan, Jennifer and husband Matt Willis, James Crad Andries, Thomas Andries, Lucy Andries and Courtney Colvin. Louise also had 5 great grandchildren, Emma, Anna, John, Miles and Mason. She is also survived by stepson Butch Richard and wife Sally of Shalimar, Florida, stepdaughters Renee and husband Charles Buckman of Southern Pines, N.C, and Revette Breaux of Ruston, Louisiana, Step- grandchildren Kelly and husband Jason Cowan, Trey Richard, Candace Buckman, Bret Buckman, Jonathan Breaux and wife Nikki, Eli Breaux, Dylan Breaux, and Cheree Breaux, also one step-great granddaughter, Annie Claire.

      Pallbearers will be grandsons Jason Belcher, James Crad Andries, Thomas Andries, Matt Willis, and sons-in-law Bill Andries, Dickie Colvin, and Dee Belcher. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Temple, Ardis Lowrey, Butch Richard, Trey Richard, Charles Buckman, Bret Buckman, Jonathan Breaux, Eli Breaux, and Dylan Breaux. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity Methodist Church Prayer Quilt Ministry or the charity of your choice.
