    • Obituary of Dora F. (Cormier) O'Brien
      Dora F (Cormier) O?Brien, 93, of Peabody, died early Sunday morning at the Addison Gilbert Hospital following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late John E O?Brien, Jr. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Benoit and Leah (Breau) Cormier. She was raised and educated in New Brunswick, Canada, later moved back to the United States and has lived in Peabody for the past 30 years. Dora was employed with General Electric in Lynn as an assembler and later was a cashier at Union Hospital in Lynn before retiring many years ago. Dora belonged to a golf league at New Meadows golf course in Topsfield, enjoyed traveling to Foxwoods Casino and loved playing bingo at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Lynn for over 40 years. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Patricia O?Brien of Peabody and Martin and Giulia O?Brien of Beverly, her siblings, Raymond Cormier of New Brunswick, Canada, Norma LeBlanc of Arizona, and Lena Lessard of Quebec, Canada, her sister-in-law, Geraldine Pelletier of Lynn, and by her five devoted grandchildren, Meaghan, Christopher, Madison, Kerrianne, and Matthew O?Brien and also by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Clorice, Yvon, and Camille Cormier and Marie Cheladyn. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lynnfield to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Lynn. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Peabody Council on Aging, 79 Central St, Peabody MA.
