    Gaudet, J.Martin (Frenchy) Passed away at the townsview Life Care Centre on November 29, 2010, in his 89th year. Dearly beloved husband of 60 years to Theresa. Dearest father to Lorraine Gleiser and her husband Brian of Waterloo. Grandpere to Tim, Amy and Michael. Survived by siblings Gilbert, Albertine (Joe) and Virginia (Louis) all of N.S. as well as Norman (of Bowmanville) and Annette (of Cobourg). Martin was a veteran of WWII, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #58 and a retired employee of Amcan Castings. The family will receive friends at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayer service Thursday at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Eugene's Roman Catholic Church on friday at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.

    Passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Extendicare Port Hope in her 91st year. Loving and devoted mother of Alice (Wayne Comeau), Michel (Gisèle), and Paul. Proud grand-maman of Véronique Hogan, Christian Hogan, Louise de la Durantaye (Ryan Crossen), Julie Bell (Mitchell) and Marc de la Durantaye (Shannon Morris). Cherished great grand-maman of Évangeline Crossen. Adored sister of Virginia and Gilbert Gaudet. Predeceased by Martin, Edouard, Normand, her sister Albertine and baby Esther. Annette will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Donations in memory of Annette may be made to St. Michael's Church or a charity of choice. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Port Hope Extendicare for their compassionate care. A Memorial Mass will be held in St. Michael?s Catholic Church, Cobourg on Monday, May 12that 10 a.m. with a reception to follow at Columbus Community Centre. According to Annette's wishes, cremation will follow the funeral mass and interment will occur at a later date beside her husband Gérard in Meteghan, Nova Scotia.     Obituary of Lorraine Gleiser
    With family by her side, Lorraine peacefully passed away and was welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord on Tuesday, May 24th, 2016 at the age of 65.



    She is survived by her husband Brian and is the beloved mother of Tim (Heather Hadden), Amy (Paul Healy), and Michael (Alisha Gleiser). Beloved Grandma of Nixon, Suki, Beatrice, Grant, and Jagger. Loving daughter of Mary Theresa Gaudet of Kitchener (formerly of Hamilton) and predeceased by her father, Joseph Martin Gaudet.



    Lorraine's infectious smile and joyful personality was shared with so many as she was an active volunteer in the Waterloo community. Lorraine's most magical moments were spent with her family, especially during the summer months at the cottage. She will be fondly remembered by all those whose lives she touched and will be sorely missed by her Acadian family in Nova Scotia where she spent most summers as a child.



    Family and friends are invited to join with Lorraine's family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S. in Waterloo on Sunday, May 29th from 2-5pm. A funeral mass will commence at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 173 Lourdes St. in Waterloo on Monday, May 30th at 2:30pm. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Lorraine's life following mass at Golf's Steakhouse, 598 Lancaster St. W., Kitchener. A private family burial will take place at a later date.



    The Gleiser family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to the staff of Sunnyside Nursing Home - especially the nursing and personal service workers on the Buttonworks floor - for their compassionate care over the past two years and in Lorraine's final days.
