    • SAULNIER (THIBAULT), Aimée ?Mae? - Age 100, of La Villa Acadienne, Meteghan, formerly of Meteghan Centre, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at La Villa. Born in Saulnierville, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Agathe (Saulnier) Thibault. Mae worked for many years at the Clare Municipal Home, Meteghan Centre, before moving to La Villa Acadienne as their head cook. She enjoyed playing cards, quilting and sewing. She is survived by her children, Elaine (Philip) Comeau, Saulnierville; Diane (the late Bernard) Melanson, Saulnierville; Giles (Penny), Martensville, Sask.; sister, Helen Melanson, La Villa Acadienne, Meteghan; daughter-in-Law, Geneva Saulnier, Cole Harbour; grand-children, George, Gilbert, Claude, Paul, Gisele, Rhea, Tosha, Justin, Stephanie; 13 great grand-children. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Stanis; sons, Victor Pierre, Victor Albert; grandson, Brian; brothers, Alfred, Raymond, Jim, Isaac, Willis, Emery, Victor; sisters, Cecile, Helene, Agnes. Visitation will be Sunday, August 20th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Meteghan Funeral Home. A Funeral mass will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Stella Maris Church, Meteghan, with Rev. Wieslaw Papuga officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Donations in memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
