- CHAISSON, Rita The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Sunday June 7, 2020, surrounded by her loving family of Rita Chaisson, Western Road aged 67 years. Beloved common-law wife of Edward Richard. She was born in Alberton on June 12, 1952, the daughter of the late Alphy and Mae (Dugay) Gaudet. Loving mother to Ricky Chaisson (Erin), Summerside and Rachel Butler (Troy), St. Edward. Cherished grandmother to Tyson, Martina, Brianna, Leandra and Tyra, great grandmother to Canyon, Creed, Cayson, Cruze, Paisley, Karlee and Oliver. Dear sister to Stella Gallant (Phillip), Bernadette Gallant (Gerard), Alice Gallant (Edlow), Theresa Arsenault, Francis Gaudet (Claudia), Henry Gaudet (Phyllis), Leo Gaudet (Shirley), Peter Gaudet, Pat Gaudet (Debbie), sister-in-law Ruth Gaudet, brother-in-law Irving Laviolette and special friend Beatrice Martin. She was predeceased by parents Alphy and Mae, son Troy, brother George and sister Dora. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road. Due to health restriction currently in place there will be no public visiting hours. Private family funeral will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road.
