      Age 100, of Saulnierville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2019, in Villa Acadienne, Meteghan, surrounded by her family. Born September 23, 1919, in Meteghan Centre, she was a daughter of the late Alphie and Evangeline LeBlanc. She is
      Age 100, of Saulnierville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2019, in Villa Acadienne, Meteghan, surrounded by her family. Born September 23, 1919, in Meteghan Centre, she was a daughter of the late Alphie and Evangeline LeBlanc. She is survived by daughters, Annette (Albert) Comeau of Meteghan River; Ruth (Bernie) Boudreau and Renette (Richard) Robichaud of Saulnierville; sons, Clarence (Léonice) of Dieppe, N.B. and Hubert (Odette) of Saulnierville. She is also survived by her siblings, Leah (late Donald) Melanson, Emma (late Benoit) Melanson, Thérèse (late Désiré) Theriault, Eddie (Bertha) LeBlanc. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Deveau; her sisters, Elise McBride, Stella Dugas, Angèle Baloche; and brothers, Agno, Alphonse, Antoine, Bernard, Edouard and Fred. She was very proud of her family and lived for them. She enjoyed her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews in her surroundings. She was a valued friend, an inspiration to many, and will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place under the care of Meteghan Funeral Home. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation in the funeral home. The funeral service will be held in Église Sacré Coeur, Saulnierville, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 28th, with interment in the parish cemetery. The immediate family will be in the church to receive condolences one half hour before the service. The family wishes to express their most sincere appreciation to the Logis de Meteghan and Villa Acadienne management and staff. A special thank you to Janie and Francine for their exceptional caring of grand-mère. Thank you to Dr. Gisèle, Dr. Dow, Dr. Jean-Luc, the Yarmouth Hospital and everyone for the special care and the many services provided to our mother. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Église Sacré Coeur, IWK Health Centre Foundation or the SPCA in Clare.
