    • Patricia ?Pat? Ann (Saulnier) Ayer, New Edinburgh Ayer, Patricia ?Pat? Ann - 55. It is with great sadness that we announce that Pat passed away on April 3, 2012 in the Capital Health Centre (VG), Halifax, with her husband by her side. Pat had an extensive battle with non-Hodgkin?s lymphoma, which was in complete remission at the time of her death. However, in January, she contacted a virus, which she was unable to beat after a difficult struggle. Pat will be greatly missed by her husband, Clark Ayer, New Edinburgh; mother, Rosalind (Thibodeau) Saulnier; sisters, Claudine (Frank) McNeil, Yarmouth and Carolyn ?Carol? (Gary) Landry, St. Bernard; brothers, Irving(Madeline), McWhinney, Port Wade; Robert ?Bob?, Georgetown, ON; Jarvis (Gloria), LeFroy, ON; Harold (Rose), Ingersoll, ON; Wilfred (Ethel), Deep brook; Raymond, Truro; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, many friends and relatives also her best friend, Ester Cromwell. Pat also had a special connection with her great-great niece Abbie. Pat was predeceased her father, Joseph Gervais ?Jarvis?, brothers, Frederick and Ronald, Maternal Grandparents, Edward and Estelle (Surette) Thibodeau; Paternal Grandparents, FranÇois ?Frank? and Mary (Robicheau) Saulnier, as well as her ?kids?, Whiskey, Mitsou, Mack and Molly. Pat took pride in her home and enjoyed crafts and gardening. She loved nature, animals, reading Sylvia Browne and other metaphysical books, listening to music, especially Chris de Burgh and Pat always looked forward to visits from her brothers. Pat believed in God and believed there is a better life after death. The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses in Digby, Yarmouth and in the Halifax VG. A special thank-you to the staff of 8A Centennial Building, and to Dr. Stephen Couban, Jo-Ann Edwards of the Hemotolgy Department at the QEII, also her family physician, Dr. Lionel d?Entremont for your unending care. Visitation 2-4pm and 7-9pm, Sunday April 8th from Jayne?s Funeral Home, (245-2525)Weymouth North. Funeral Mass will be 10am, Monday April 9th from St. Joseph?s Roman Catholic Church, Weymouth. Father Keith Billard presiding. Donations in memory of Pat can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Cancer Research Foundation, since she devoted her life in finding a cure for cancer.
