Comeau, age 82, a longtime resident of Quincy, died peacefully, Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Angus was born in Saulnierville Station, Nova Scotia, Canada to the late Arcade J. and Elizabeth M. (Theriault) Comeau. He was raised and educated there and immigrated to the United States in 1959, settling in Quincy. He had lived in Quincy for nearly sixty years. Angus worked in the hotel industry for over fifty years. He was employed as the well-known Bell Captain at the Sheraton Boston for thirty-three years and had recently retired. He loved his job. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, and feeding birds. Angus also enjoyed playing cards and was an avid Red Sox fan. He was dedicated to his family and especially enjoyed supporting the activities and accomplishments of his grandchildren. Beloved husband for sixty years of Rosalie M. "Rose" (Deveau) Comeau. Devoted father of Brian J. Comeau and his wife Donna of Meteghan River, Nova Scotia, Canada, Lisa M. Nickerson and her husband George of Quincy. Loving grandfather of Carla M. Nickerson and twins, Bryann and Bryce Nickerson. Dear brother of Dora LeBlanc and her husband Willie of Quincy, Richard Comeau and his wife Joyce of Quincy, Eugene Comeau of Pembroke, William Comeau and his wife Carol of Norwell. Angus was the brother-in-law of Charlene Comeau of Hanover and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy on Tuesday, January 16 at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 227 Sea Street, Quincy at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Monday 4 - 7 p.m. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
