Calvin was a native of New Iberia and was a resident of Lafayette for most of his life. He worked as a food broker for Joe Ewell Co. for many years. The consummate salesman, he never met a stranger. He was an avid outdoorsman and particularly loved hunting. He will be remembered as a wonderfully hard-headed, soft-hearted, mischievous, hilarious and extremely generous man.

He is survived by his brothers Daniel Hebert and his wife, Barbara, and Louis Hebert and his wife, Maria; and his sister Mildred Leleux, all of New Iberia. Although he had no children, he leaves behind generations of nieces and nephews, many of whom he helped to shape into the people they are today.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rita Blanchard Hebert; his second wife Vivian Hutchens Hebert; his parents, Dennis and Laurence Robicheaux Hebert; his brothers Webster and Alvin Hebert; and his sisters Lorraine Babineaux, Laurence Migues and Theresa Andre.

Pallbearers will be Teddy Leleux, Ken Hebert, Brandon Hebert, Carl LeBlanc, Mark LeBlanc and Seth LeBlanc.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kerny and Daniel Hebert.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Angela Snow, the entire staff of Amelia Manor Nursing Home, and all involved with Hospice of Acadiana for their loving care and unending support. Special thanks go to Francine Broussard, an amazing caregiver and friend.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to Hospice of Acadiana.
