      LEOMINSTER------Lorraine E. (Richard) Leger 82 of Leominster died Thursday October 4, 2012 surrounded by her loving family in Brigham and Women?s Hospital in Boston after an illness.
      Lorraine was born January 9, 1930 in Leominster the daughter of the late Charles C. Richard and Lillian (McNamara) Richard and was a lifelong Leominster resident. She leaves her daughter, Deborah Kelly and her husband James of Leominster and her two granddaughters, Shaunna Kelly of Leominster and Jacquelyn Kelly Cole and her husband Joshua of Worcester and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
      She was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Ovila J. Leger in 1986, her son Michael J. Leger in 1999, four brothers, William Richard, Henry Richard, Raymond Richard and Richard Soutiere and by her sister, Lillian Richard.
      Lorraine was a member of St Cecilia?s Church in Leominster and worked for many years at the Foster Grant Company. After retirement she worked as a cook at Piccolo Mondo Day Care and for the City of Leominster as a crossing guard. She enjoyed her family and friends, spending time with her granddaughters, family dinners and gatherings, playing cards with the girls, trips to Foxwoods, making puzzles, watching Lifetime movies and watching Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
      Her funeral will be held on Wednesday October 10, 2012 from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home 106 West St. Leominster with an 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St Cecilia?s Church,180 Mechanic St Leominster. Burial will follow in St Josephs Cemetery Fitchburg. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday evening October 9, 2012 from 4 PM - 7 PM.
