Mr. Lalonde died at his home near here Friday after a long illness. Burial was in the church cemetery. Surviving are his wife, the former Eugenia David; four daughters, Mrs. Edwin Hayes, Mrs. Royson Fontenot, both of Port Barre, Mrs. Abel Robin of Arnaudville and Mrs. Daniel Lalonde of New Orleans; four sons, Numa and Melvin of Notleyville, Allen of New Orleans and Mitchell of Port Arthur, Tex.; one adopted son, Valerie Mayer of Lafayette; four brothers, George, Jr., of Arnaudville, Leonce of Opelousas, Mitchell , of Bridge City, Tex., and Laurent of Baton Rouge; four sisters, Mrs. Amar Lalonde, Mrs. Theodule Bodin and Mrs. Laurent Lanclos of Arnaudville and Mrs. Oscar Hollier of Mamou; 24 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
