      January 17, 1879 (Friday) Married At Portugal Cove, on Sunday last, by the Very Rev.
      Archdeacon O'CONNOR, P.P., V.G., Mr. EDWARD BRINE, of Topsail, to MARY, eldest
      daughter of Mr. THOMAS Stapleton, of Horse Cove.
      Children Jon T, Mary Peter , Peter J and Leonard died in infancy.
      Edward was killed by being kicked by his a horse. He was only 44 years old, and he left Mary
      his wife with a large family of 6 including my grandmother and her twin brother Andrew who
      were only four months old at the time of his death.
      Story in the Evening Telegram and Newfoundland Hearld in 1895. This was recently
      printed (Aug. 15, 2008) in the Shoreline local Newspaper of CBS.
