Former husband of Kathleen Nickerson of Maine and the late Debbie Gaudette. Thomas is also survived by several nieces, nephews and 9 stepchildren. Tom worked as a truck driver for the past 10 years. An avid outdoorsman, Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a love for animals. Carpentry and working on home improvement projects was one of his favorite pastimes as well as car racing. Tom will be remembered by his family as a man with a quick wit and great sense of humor and a wonderful Dad. He will be missed by all whom had the pleasure to have known him. He was the father of 2 children that are deceased and the loving step father of Mary (Peggy Abbonizio/Brant). Loving brother of Paul Frazier, Carol Champion and Marilyn Copley. Beloved grandfather of Mary Ann (John) Hartner, Linda Yondura, Kathy Abbonizio, Nicholas (Stephanie) Abbonizio and Susan Werner. Loving uncle of Debbie Pena and David Frazier. Also surviving are Great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many other loving family members. George was a WW II Veteran of both Army and Navy and a survivor of Pearl Harbor. He was surrounded by his loved ones at his residence in Richibucto, NB. Born in Rexton, NB, he was the son of late Bélonie Daigle and Rita (Savoie) Daigle. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 40 years, Aline (Robichaud), his daughter, Nadine Guitard (Dean) of Richibucto, his son Marc (Jessica Lanteigne) of Dieppe, his grandchildren Justin and Alyssa, his mother Rita from Gardner, Mass., his sisters Ginette LeBlanc (Bertin), his twin Georgette Maillet (Ronald) both from Leominster, Mass. and Gisèle Breton (André) from Gardner, Mass.; several cousins, nieces and nephews as well as the extended Robichaud family. Besides his father Ben, he was predeceased by a sister Gisèle and a grandson Alec (infant). George was a successful businessman. Among his business ventures, he was best known locally at St. Louis Hardware which he owned and operated for 25 years. He acted as a mentor amongst many people and entrepreneurs. George was known as a family man, a generous man who touched a lot of lives. Resting at Thompson?s Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9, Saturday from 9:00 am until departure for the funeral. He is survived by his wife, Eugenie Lalonde; nine children, Olide, Leonce, George Antille, Mrs. Anaclet Lanclos, Mrs. Theodule Baudin, and Mrs. Amar Lalonde of Arnaudville, Lawrence of Opelousas, Mitchell of Orange, Tex., and Mrs. Oscar Hollier of Mamou. The deceased also had 32 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and one great, great-grandchild. Born in Somerset, a son of the late Joseph and Lillian Jane Augusta (Reid) Melanson, he was a lifelong area resident. A Veteran of the United States Navy, he worked for K&W Music for many years. He repaired juke boxes and was well known for fixing pool tables. He was a charter and life member of the AM Vets Post 60, the Royal Travelers, and the Mic Maq Indian Tribe. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters; Jane Robidoux of Tiverton, Marion Sousa of Portsmouth, and several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Dorothy White and Richard W. Melanson. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Crawford Home for the care in which George received. As a result of the First World War (1914?1918), the empires of his first cousins Tsar Nicholas II of Russia and Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany fell, while the British Empire expanded to its greatest effective extent. In 1917, George became the first monarch of the House of Windsor, which he renamed from the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha as a result of anti-German public sentiment. In 1924 he appointed the first Labour ministry and in 1931 the Statute of Westminster recognised the dominions of the Empire as separate, independent states within the Commonwealth of Nations. She was a baton twirler for the award winning Sons of the American Legion Drum and Bugle Corp in Rockland, where she was the first and only female of the corps. She was also a future Drum Major. Gloria was a dancer and self-employed exercise instructor, originating "Dancercize" and was also a fitness co-coordinator and instructor for the Boys and Girls Club of Springfield. She would often be featured on Channel 22's Kitty Broman and Channel 40's Barbara Bernard Shows, demonstrating her exercise techniques. She leaves her husband Armand J. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Boudreau), with whom he shared 69 years of marriage. He will be deeply missed by his children Thomas V. Murphy Jr. and his wife Eileen of Gloucester, Mary Ellen Burke and her husband Brian of Gloucester, Susan Murphy and her partner Jen Anderson of Newbury, Sandra Carbonneau and her husband Donald of Fountain Hills, AZ, and Carol Conlon and her husband John of Gloucester. Loving brother of Josephine McCormick of East Greenwich, R.I. Cherished grandfather of Donald, Amy, Brian, Yvonne, Elizabeth, Lisa, Sharon, Linda, Marilyn, Joseph, Thomas and Mary, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. In 1941, at the age of 17, he learned that Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was under attack and signed up to join in the war effort from April 27, 1942 to November 18, 1945, he served in the United States Navy?s Armed Guard, as a Gunner?s Mate protecting U.S. Merchant Ships during World War II. He was off the coast of the Solomon Islands in 1945 delivering supplies to the Marines during the Battle of Guadalcanal, and aboard the USS Fredric C. Howe off the coast of Japan in the fall of 1945 when the war ended. After the war, he worked for the Ford Motor Company at the Somerville MA assembly plant. Soon after its closing in 1958 he started his own business in Middleton, painting trucks for many local and national companies which he ran until he retired. He loved his Catholic faith, his family and his country. He will always be remembered for his laughter and for loving a good joke. He was a good man and knew that he was blessed from above. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Winifred (Fitzgerald) Murphy, and his siblings Leo Murphy, Catherine Higgins, Fredrick Murphy, and Rita Cignoni. Born in Yarmouth N.S. on May 4, 1972 he was the son to Judy (Ron) Stark and the late Carl Goudey. Karl was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with and having his family around him. He followed in his father?s footsteps and was a heavy equipment operator all of his life working in Yarmouth and then more recently at Finishing Touch Aggregates in Alberta where he worked alongside his two sons operating heavy equipment. However, Nova Scotia was always considered home. His pride and joy was his 1986 Trans Am and his buddy Copper who was his faithful dog. He is survived by his wife, Sherry (Fraughton) Goudey; mother, Judy (Ron) Stark; children, Ryan (Dominique) Goudey; Brandon (Whitney) Goudey; Kristy (Bobby) Wells; Andrea (Kaine) Arsenault; sister, Kim (Tony) Brittain; grandchildren, Donovan Viegas and Rylee Goudey; great niece Kylie and great nephew Ryder; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Besides his father Karl was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Jesse and Ruth Goudey; and maternal grandparents, John and Hazel Hall. Lustgraaf, 47, well known in Great Falls, died suddenly Wednesday morning of a heart attack at Bonner near Missoula, according to advices received here. The body will arrive in Great Falls this evening and be taken to O'Conner Chapel. Mr. Lustgraaf had made his home in Great Falls--819 7th Avenue North--for a number of years and was widely known. He was employed by Burch & Sons Contractors and was working on a bridge construction job at Bonner at the time of his death, having been at the place for about the last three months. The family came to Great Falls a number of years ago from Rudyard. | 544 | GRIFFIN, William J. Died on October 11, 2012, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 3, 1929 to Veronica and William Griffin in Medfield, MA. Graduated from Medfield High School and MA State Police Academy. Joined the U.S. Navy in 1948, served as a Medical Corpsman on the U.S. Midway during the Korean War. Upon discharge, he worked for General Motors, Framingham, MA, as Material Coordinator. Joined the Medfield Police Department in 1958 until moving to Palm Beach County, FL and joined the Riviera Beach Police Department in 1968. He worked his way up the ranks to Captain, Chief of Detective Division, along the way receiving many awards, including Policeman of the Year. He retired in 1988 at 58 years old, moved to Jensen Beach, St. Lucie County and soon he decided retirement was not for him so he joined the St. Lucie Sheriff's Office and worked as a Bailiff at the Courthouse in Ft. Pierce for seven years. On December 19, 1954, Bill met his wife Joan (Barker) and they were married on Nov. 19, 1955, at Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth, MA. Built their home in Medfield and brought up five beautiful children, before moving to Florida. Bill attends Mass at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, and is a volunteer for the Project Mother Teresa. He is a member of the Korean War Veterans, Chapter 106; Fraternal Order of Police, Treasure Coast Lodge #41; and for 15 years was a member of the PGA Country Club where he enjoyed a good game of golf with his many friends. Bill leaves behind his loving Bride of 57 years, five children, Diane (Gary) Muller, Patty (Rick) Dent, Sheila Griffin, William Griffin, Jr. (Paige), and Charles Griffin, seven grandchildren, Brian, Melissa, and Mark Muller, Kelly and Katie Dent, William Griffin III "Joey", and Sara Griffin, along with his sister, Margaret O'Grady in MA, and many nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered for his Irish wit and service to others by all his friends and neighbors.
