    CORMIER, RITA 1924 - 2009 -
    Rita Cormier, 85 of Sainte-Marie de Kent passed away at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Friday October 2nd, 2009 after a lengthy illness. She was married to the late Zéphir Cormier (2001). Born in Saint-Paul on July 25th, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Marcelin and the late Henriette (Gosselin) Léger. She was a member of the Sainte-Marie de Kent Golden age club, and very involved in the parish activities. Rita was a woman known for her immense generosity and her great charitable actions towards everybody she knew. Rita leaves to mourn her eight children, Maria LeBlanc (Paul) of Scoudouc, Alfreda LeBlanc (Terrence) of Moncton, Ginette Caissie (Paul) of Grande-Digue, Majella Gallant (Jean-Guy) of Moncton, Fernand (Lucille) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Jean (Paulette) of Scoudouc, Léandre (Denise) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Jules (Bernadine) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, nineteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one brother Euclide of Moncton, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister Marie, and four brothers Gerard, Aimé, Zoel and Elzéar. Visitation will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie de Kent on Sunday October 4th, from 7 to 9 and Monday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Marie de Kent Church on Monday October 5th, 2009 at 7:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In Rita's memory donations can be made to the Arthritis Society or the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation.

    Mrs. M. Leger, St. Anthony, Dies ST. ANTHONY (Special) -
    The death of Mrs. Marselin Leger occurred at her home here early Monday morning following a short illness. She was 75 years of age. She was a member of the St. Anthony Roman Catholic church and also of St. Anne's Society. She is survived by five sons, Gerard, Moncton, Zoel, Elzear, Aimee and Euclide, all of St. Anthony; two daughters, Mrs. Donat Henri (Marie), St. Paul, and Mrs. Zephir Cormier (Rita), Coates Mills; three brothers, Alvain, Abraham, both of Fisherville, Mass., and Amedee, Saint John; one sister, Mrs. Joseph M. Richard, St. Anthony, and 41 grandchildren. The body is resting at the home of her son, Euclide. Funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 9 in St. Anthony. Interment will be in the family lot at St. Anthony.
