We announce the death of Captain Actime Amirault, who died at his home in West Pubnico, the 2nd of October, after an illness of some months. The deceased, who would have been 87 on the 20th of this month, was a man of strong health and was able to do a good day's work until two years ago. For 35 years he had made the trip between Pubnico and Yarmouth in three different "paquets," the Rowdy (which was lost at sea), the Alice M., and the George. At the time, there were no trucks, and almost all the freight coming from Yarmouth was carried here by Captain Amirault.

The deceased was the son of the late Volusien Amirault and Scolastique d'Eon, and of their family there is only one daughter left, Mrs. Maggie White of Waltham. He also leaves two sons, Robert and Vincent of this village; five daughters, Mrs. James A. d'Eon (Eva) of Middle West Pubnico, Mrs. George d'Entremont (Thérèse) of Andover, Mass., Mrs. Leo Doucet (Agnès) and Mrs. Craig d'Entremont (Louise) of Stoneham, and Mrs. Elisée d'Entremont (Henriette) of this village. He also was the grandfather of 24 children and great-grandfather of six. His wife died here 13 years ago.

The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at St-Pierre Church, the R. P. LeBlanc, parish priest, officiant. There was a large attendance. Pallbearers, all members of the C.M.B.A., were Octave, Raymond and Charles J. d'Eon, Odille and James G. d'Entremont, and Sylvester Amirault.
