COMEAU, Louise ? Age 95, of Bangor, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 at home. Born in Bangor, she was a daughter of the late Adolphe and Elizabeth (LeBlanc) Melanson.

Our mom was one of the first employees of Frenchy?s and worked for CP Rail as a cook. She wrote many songs such as ?A Bangor Y Fait Beau? and ?Le Moulin De Bangor?. She loved music and she came from a musical family. She was an avid quilter, card player and dancer. She also built her own house with the help of her brothers. She was a jack of all trades. She perked right up when her family from Louisiana came for their annual visit. Our mom was a hard-working woman who instilled her values in her children and their families.

She is survived by children, Joanne (Jerry) Belliveau, Hélène (Gary Brown), Russell (Gisèle), Ted, Gene (Ronald) LeBlanc, Lydie (Greg Gaudett); brother, Théodore (Jacqueline) Melanson; sisters, Blanche (Désiré) Comeau, Lydia Saulnier, Antoinette Theriault; sisters-in-law, Shirley Melanson, Elaine Melanson;14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by husband, Daniel; son Jacky; brothers, Henri, Elie, Alphonse; sister, Philomène Saulnier.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Meteghan Funeral Home. A private funeral mass will be held at a later date in Église Sacré-Coeur, Saulnierville, officiated by Rev. Mathieu Agbaya & Rev. Honoré Kouassi with interment to follow in parish cemetery. Donations may be made to Jacky Comeau and Friends Cancer Help Fund Association*.

The family wishes to thank Home Care and VON, Dr. Alain Blinn and EHS Paramedics for the care provided to their mother. We will miss our mom but the memories will keep us going forever. Love you always and rest in peace with dad and Jacky
